It had been about five months since I had broken up with my ex boyfrie

It had been about five months since I had broken up with my ex boyfriend James and all of my girlfriends had been pressuring me to get back into the dating game. So last night I had gone on a date with a man I had met through one of those on-line dating sites that are all the rage these days. He was very sweet but, he didn’t exactly look like the same guy that was in the picture he had on his profile. Also he didn’t seem to be the type of person who enjoys fine-dinning and drinks as a date. He looked like the type who would prefer pizza and beer. I’m not trying to be judgmental or trying to hold off dating in hopes of James wanting to get back together or anything, its just I can’t figure all these new dating sites out. It seems impossible.
dating sites promise you romance and love with the man of your dreams, but when you meet the man in person you find out his picture is ten years old and his interests are all made up. On the rare occasion when you actually find a guy who resembles his profile close enough actually having a relationship with the guy or trying to contact him is what becomes impossible. I mean if you call and leave a message asking for a late night booty call he gets that and rushes over, but god forbid you ask what has doing and his phone magically gets left behind at his office or at a friends house. He always seems to be there to caress your leg while making out on the sofa but can’t be around to hold your hand while watching a romance movie. I’ve never seen a man admit to that on one of his dating sites profile.
When dating sites don’t work out, you have other options such as speed dating or blind dates. Speed dating basically gives you about three minutes to get to know a guy enough to go on a date with him. As if in the first three minutes a total stranger is going to admit to you he is a stalker or ex con, then you basically end up going on a date with a total stranger. Suspiciously blind dates are nearly the same, you go out with a person who is not the way your supposed friends described him.
Will I ever get this right?
