An Adults Thoughts

Hannah had definitely had enough of her prudish friends attitudes to dating. I mean if they were entitled to voice their opinions, that she did not agree on surely she had just as much right to hers. I mean who cared if Jane down the road and her husband were swingers? If it worked for them then great. Hannah was looking for a guy who just wanted some regular fun. She had a great job and did not want to be tied down with someone texting her every few minutes to see where she was, or telling her what to do on her precious time off. She had been on a few dates with people, the most recent being one set up by her mother where the aroma of cheap aftershave was so strong she had to make her excuses and leave.

It was not that Hannah wanted to sleep around, but she did not want to settle downjust yet, she wanted regular fun with a regular guy, who would be happy to stroke her leg under the table over a meal, come back to hers, or his, make mad passionate love, put his heart and soul into pleasing both himself and her and then for the rest of the week just get on with their lives. Hannah was a pretty woman and did not want to settle for anything less than what she wanted, and did not see why she should have to.

Her friends kept trying to get her married off to their husbands friends, of which she had no interest in, she just wished they could understand and not just judge her. She kept it to herself that when Jane took Paul back after finding him in a compromising position with his secretary and when she caught saw him stroke the leg of a woman at a local bar, it was not something Hannah would have done, she just did not feel ready to deal with all that yet, and her only interaction with kids were at weddings and parties.

She had a heart and soul, she had love to give, but she was not ready to hang up the sweet aroma of success of her job, for the aroma of nappies and baby sick. One day she may, but not yet, she did not see why she should have to conform. She felt she could not be the only soul on earth who felt this way.

Later that evening, she did however have a stroke of luck. For one night only, Nick, an ex who had moved away was coming to town, well maybe long term fun was not on the cards but for tonight, she was going to have fun, while her friends were ironing shirts.
